As is the case almost every year, the Green Bay Packers received the maximum of five primetime games on the initial 2024 regular season schedule. Flex scheduling could change the final tally, but it’s a good bet the Packers — a national draw and a team most are expecting to be contenders in 2024 — will play all five of their scheduled primetime games and potentially even add one or two more along the way.
A scheduling quirk for the Packers: Matt LaFleur’s team will play in primetime in Week 1 but then won’t play in primetime again until Week 13. Between Weeks 13-16, the Packers will play four straight primetime games.
Last year, the Packers went 2-3 in primetime games, including an 0-2 stretch to start the year. They beat the Chiefs and Vikings in primetime games in December. The Packers were 0-2 on Monday night.
Here are the five primetime games on the 2024 schedule for the Packers:

Week 1 at Philadelphia Eagles (in Brazil)
When: Friday, Sept. 6 — 7:15 p.m. CT
Where: São Paulo, Brazil (Corinthians Arena)
TV network: Peaco*ck
The Packers and Eagles will kick off the 2024 regular season with a Friday night game in Brazil, marking the first time an NFL regular season game is played in South America. This is a battle of two teams that went in opposite directions to end 2023; the Packers were red hot and nearly advanced to the NFC title game, while the Eagles lost five of their last six games and got beat in the wild card round. This is technically a home game for the Eagles, so the Packers will avoid playing in Philadelphia.
Week 13 vs. Miami Dolphins

When: Thursday, Nov. 28 — 7:20 p.m. CT
Where: Green Bay, Wisconsin (Lambeau Field)
TV network: NBC
Thanksgiving night brings the NFL’s No. 2 scoring offense from a year ago to Lambeau Field for a big-time NFC-AFC showdown. The Dolphins are fast and talented and have been to the postseason in each of the last two seasons under Mike McDaniels. Can the Packers cool down the Dolphins during a late November night game in Green Bay, where the weather will be unpredictable?
Week 14 at Detroit Lions

Where: Detroit, Michigan (Ford Field)

This could be a huge game in the NFC North race. The Packers will finish a gauntlet three-game stretch — featuring home games against the 49ers and Dolphins — with a trip to Detroit to play the reigning division champs. Last year, the Packers went into Ford Field and took down the Lions on Thanksgiving Day, helping fuel a late-season surge.
Week 15 at Seattle Seahawks

When: Sunday, Dec. 15 — 7:20 p.m. CT
Where: Seattle, Washington (Lumen Field)
TV network: NBC
The Seahawks are beginning a new era under Mike MacDonald in 2024. Seattle made the postseason at 9-8 in 2022 but missed the playoffs at 9-8 in 2023. The Packers haven’t played in Seattle since 2018, a 27-24 primetime loss in November. Weather could be a factor in mid-December in Seattle.
Week 16 vs. New Orleans Saints
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) is pressured by New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis (56) during the first quarter of their game Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.
When: Monday, Dec. 23 — 7:15 p.m. CT
Where: Green Bay, Wisconsin (Lambeau Field)
TV network: ESPN
Last year, the Saints went up 17-0 but folded late as Jordan Love led a 18-0 run to end the Week 3 battle at Lambeau Field. The weather was nearly perfect. The Saints, a southern team that plays in a dome, can’t expect comfortable conditions in late December in Green Bay. There’s a good chance this Week 16 battle will be a highly consequential game for both teams in the NFC playoff race. The Saints went 9-8 in 2023 and haven’t made the postseason since 2020, the last year of the Drew Brees era.
