WEBFI: Warm and breezy Sunday before weather changes - SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Hey there, Utah! Hopefully you’re having a great weekend! We began the weekend with well-above-average warmth and that’s how we’ll end it, however, there will be some changes. High pressure is currently moving out of the way and a system is approaching from the west. That system will usher in bigger changes by Monday, but for today we’ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies across the state with more clouds in northern Utah. Daytime highs will range about 5-15 degrees above average with northern Utah seeing highs in the 60s and 70s and while southern Utah gets another day in the 70s and 80s. Along the Wasatch Front, mid to upper 70s can be expected. One of the effects of the system we’ll feel today will be an increased southerly wind and it will be gusty at times across the state. Also, a few spotty showers can’t be completely ruled out in the high terrain.7 Utah words that prove you’re from the Beehive StateWith the system coming in on Monday, the core of it will miss us to the south, however, it will be close enough for us to see at least a slight chance of showers across the state with showers favoring the high terrain. Daytime highs will also ease down by roughly 10° compared to what we get today, resulting in highs dropping into the 50s and 60s up north with 60s and 70s down south. For most, highs will be within a handful of degrees of seasonal norms.Tuesday looks dry and pretty seasonal, then for the middle and second half of the week the forecast gets tricky as another storm could take aim at the Beehive State. At this point, forecast models are split on whether or not this storm will actually move in, however, recent trends are moving in the direction of us seeing a storm either midweek or towards the end of the workweek. If we get the storm midweek, then we’ll see an even bigger drop in temperatures early in the week and there will be a good chance for showers statewide. If the storm doesn’t dip in until the weekend, then we’ll stay close to seasonal and mostly dry through Thursday before the big drop in temperatures and moisture arrives Friday into Saturday. As we get closer, we’ll be able to hone in on the forecast so stay tuned! The bottom line? The well-above-average warmth hangs around one more day before we move into a more unsettled and cooler pattern into next week. With Utah’s 4Warn Forecast both on-air and online you can stay on top of all the weather changes the Beehive State has to offer! We are Good4Utah! - https://lnkd.in/g2ZEvnar

WEBFI: Very warm, very dry weather for Alabama through the weekend - No rain comes for drought-weary Alabama anytime soon, and the weather looks much warmer than normal through the upcoming weekend. Could it rain in time for Halloween?Check the video forecast for the latest. WARM WEATHER THIS WEEKDry patterns like this usually set up comfortably cool nights and mild days. It is so dry that our cool nights turn into days that are a lot warmer than we usually have in late October.Temperatures drop into the middle and upper 50s around Birmingham early Monday (40s in east and northeastern Alabama). With a mix of sun and clouds, temperatures jump some 30 degrees toward the upper 70s and lower 80s in the afternoon with a light southeast breeze.Rinse and repeat for the rest of the week.A ridge over the South blocks the jet stream’s influence in Alabama: enhancing the drought and increasing the heat through the upcoming weekend.Ridges mainly keep it warm and dry, and this one is unusually strong for this time of year. It will be holding on into the weekend, too.WEEKEND OUTLOOKThe last weekend before Halloween is in view, and there is a lot going on around here. The Magic City Classic is at Legion Field, and Auburn hosts Mississippi State on Saturday. There are fall festivals galore, and it is the last weekend for most pumpkin patches. The weather looks fantastic (albeit a little dusty and dry). Expect cool mornings, warm afternoons, and a lot of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday. It would not be impossible to see a few showers slip into northwestern Alabama from Mississippi either day, but rain does not look likely at all through Sunday. HOW ABOUT HALLOWEEN?The rumor mill has been running strong about major storms, brutal cold, and even snow around Halloween. None of that is realistic.Unusually warm weather lasts through the first part of next week, and a cold front does move into Alabama sometime around Tuesday or Wednesday.Cooler air will come behind it, but a moisture-starved system will not have much of a chance to produce any significant rainfall. The Halloween bottom line looks mostly dry, seasonably warm (70s for highs, 50s at night), and not ‘stormy’ at all.At this point, we do not see a radical change in the dry weather pattern through at least the first week of November.CLICK TO SEE THE 7-DAY FORECASTSTAY WEATHER AWAREFor the latest Birmingham weather information and central Alabama's certified most accurate forecast, watch WVTM 13 News.Current Weather ConditionsHourly Forecast

WEBFI: NEXT Weather: Decreasing threat for weekend rain, cooler air rushes in - PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Lately it seems like we can't have a weekend without also having rain around. In fact, with rain in the forecast once again it could end up being the seventh weekend in a row with measurable rain in the Philadelphia area. That said, there is good news. CBS Philadelphia Where earlier in the week it looked like rain was going to be a sure bet for at least part of the weekend, that chance for showers has decreased. A coastal low pressure system responsible for rain in New Jersey Friday is now moving east as another low pressure system and its associated cold front moves in from the Great Lake States. CBS Philadelphia Scattered showers associated with this storm system will be possible across the region through early Saturday morning. The area of low pressure will begin to strengthen as it moves east and while bringing more widespread rain to our northeast much of the Philadelphia area will see a decreasing chance of rain through midday Saturday. While the initial cold front will push east of the region with the rain, a secondary cold front to the west will delay the arrival of a more significant drop in temperatures until Sunday. CBS Philadelphia Saturday will start off with temperatures in the middle 50s and with partially clearing skies temps will warm into the middle 60s by Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, the afternoon heating will combine with some trailing upper-level energy in the wake of the departing low pressure system to produce some more clouds and a very small chance for an isolated sprinkle. CBS Philadelphia The departing area of low pressure, while moving away from the Delaware Valley, will be strengthening which will cause winds to increase through Saturday afternoon and evening. The winds out of the northwest are expected to increase to between 10-20 mph through Saturday afternoon and occasionally gust above 30 mph. These gusts may even approach 40 mph along the coast. CBS Philadelphia These breezy conditions will remain until Sunday as the cooler air begins to rush in from the northwest. Low temperatures Sunday morning will be in the upper 40s with high temperatures Sunday afternoon struggling to climb out of the 50s. Meanwhile, gusty winds through the day on Sunday will keep feels-like temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s for most of the

WEBFI: Maryland Weather: Rain chances end overnight - BALTIMORE-- A cold front will move through the area later tonight bringing an end to the rainfall by Saturday morning. By later tonight night, expect the showers to decrease in coverage and we should begin to dry up for most areas. Tonight's temperatures will drop to the mid 40s to low 50s.Weekend Forecast (Saturday to Sunday)By Saturday, the storm system will shift northeastward and strengthen, resulting in strong winds across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Wind gusts of 30-40 mph are expected with the strongest winds in the higher elevations of western Maryland. Although most areas will remain dry, some rain showers will be possible in western Maryland due to upslope flow. Later on Saturday, scattered showers might make their way deeper into western Maryland continuing into Sunday morning across central Maryland. This fast-moving upper level disturbance will bring clouds and light rain to the area early Sunday morning but should exit the area quickly just after sunrise. It will remain dry in the Baltimore area through Saturday night, so any plans should remain unaffected. Expect overnight temps in the 40s. Into Next WeekHigh-pressure will build in Monday, with dry conditions prevailing through Thursday. Frost will be possible north and west of the Beltway Monday night as temps dip into the 30s. Temperatures will rise to the 60s Monday and Tuesday with highs in the 70s starting Wednesday and continuing through the end of the week. The next front arrives next weekend, but rain chances look slim with the front as it approaches. More from CBS News Read More - https://lnkd.in/gEuktW8z

WEBFI: CT Weather: Nor’easter To Bring Rain, Wind And Storms This Weekend - CONNECTICUT — It still looks like a nor'easter storm will impact our weather this weekend in Connecticut but the timeline has changed a bit. We'll now begin to see the impacts of this strong storm on Friday, especially in the evening hours, as heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast. Some rain showers may begin on Friday morning. The rain is forecast to continue on Saturday, but there may be some breaks in the rain too, the weather service said. Find out what's happening in Across Connecticutwith free, real-time updates from Patch.Once the low pressure system pulls away, we'll see sunny skies on Sunday but strong wind gusts throughout the day. Wind gusts could approach 35 mph, according to the National Weather Service. "There will be developing instability...and a few thunderstorms will be possible late (Friday) night and toward Saturday morning, and have maintained the chance for thunder," according to the National Weather Service. "Model guidance suggests that there may be a brief break, or the precipitation becoming light, Saturday morning, and then increase again during the afternoon as the mid and upper level low with the northern stream system tracks across the region and merges over New England. Then Saturday night with the upper trough and low lifting to the northeast the precipitation winds down again." Find out what's happening in Across Connecticutwith free, real-time updates from Patch. The weather service said winds are expected to gust between 30-35 mph. Highs on Sunday will be in the middle and upper 50s, but will feel a bit cooler with the gusty winds. The winds should diminish Sunday night, the weather service said. "...from Friday to Saturday, the storm will transfer its energy to the Atlantic coast, where a new storm will form and then evolve into a nor'easter as it tracks northward toward New England from Saturday to Sunday," Accuweather.com meteorologists said. "From north of New York City to Boston and across much of Maine, the wettest time will occur from Friday to Saturday night. However, the region will be buffeted by gusty winds even as rain diminishes on Sunday," Accuweather.com forecasters added. (Read more at Accuweather.com).WFSB 3 TV meteorologists Mark Dixon with Jill Gilardi said "showers develop Friday morning, then ramp up in coverage and intensity on Friday afternoon. The coverage backs off some on Friday evening, allowing many to squeeze in football games without getting soaked, then ticks back upwards on Friday night into Saturday morning. The rain looks heavier on Friday rather than Saturday and so we have also declared a First Alert for Friday. Don’t be shocked if you hear thunder too! Rainfall amounts will range from 1-2″ locally. Upper 60s today for highs, and lower to middle 60s tomorrow." (Read more at WFSB 3 TV). See also: 1 Dead, 1 Injured In Shooting, Car Crash: Reports Here are the forecast details for

WEBFI: When to expect next rain, snow showers - The wet season began across the Bay Area on Sunday, with rainfall accumulations up to a half inch. A dry break is expected Monday and Tuesday, with near-normal temperatures ranging from the 60s at the coast to near 80 inland.A cold front is expected to move down from the Pacific Northwest on Wednesday, raising the chances of rain across Northern California and light snow in the Sierra Nevada. Additional Bay Area rain showers and high-elevation snow are possible Friday. Turbulent weather Snow showers are expected around Lake Tahoe on Wednesday night, with the snow level dropping as low as 6,000 feet.Baron/Lynx After months of mainly dry weather, the jet stream is beginning to visit California again as winter approaches. This ribbon of strong winds tens of thousands of feet in the air guides storms over the Pacific Ocean and pushes them toward California. On Sunday, the jet stream directed the first widespread soaking rainfall since May to the Bay Area, and weather models suggest that may not be the last wet weather system of October. Dry weather is expected Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures in the 60s at the coast and upper 70s to lower 80s inland, but activity will ramp up Wednesday. A storm over Washington is forecast to bring heavy snowfall to the Cascade Mountains on Tuesday night and then move toward California on Wednesday and Thursday. While impactful rainfall is unlikely in the Bay Area, snowfall around Lake Tahoe is possible. The snow level could drop as low as 6,000 feet Thursday night, with accumulations up to 5 inches at the highest elevations. Temperatures will drop considerably statewide Thursday. Morning temperatures will be in the 40s in Wine Country and the Sacramento Valley and well below freezing in the Sierra Nevada. Afternoon highs will struggle to break the mid-60s, even in the Sacramento and Central valleys. Weather models predict temperatures to drop to the 40s away from the bay shoreline Thursday morning.Baron/Lynx The next chance of rain showers for the Bay Area comes Friday as a weak low-pressure system off the Pacific Ocean approaches Northern California. Monday breakdown San Francisco: Fog and clouds are expected to slowly clear throughout the city, eventually parting for blue skies in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s in the Richmond and Sunset districts and just above 70 in Noe Valley and the Mission District. Afternoon and evening gusts of 15 to 25 mph are expected. Overnight lows will fall to the lower 50s with areas of patchy fog redeveloping. North Bay: Morning fog is likely in the valleys of the North Bay around Santa Rosa, Petaluma, San Rafael, Sonoma and Napa before clearing for afternoon sunshine.
