The first was reported in the same area on Aug 28 Hartford Police Chief Joseph Estey said the incidents are worri some to police because women may be afraid to stop even for le gitimate police officers The police said the impostor drove an unmarked car with a blue light on its dash The man was dressed in plain clothes and left when asked for identifica tion Estey said the police rarely use unmarked cars to pull over some one unless the officers observe a serious offense and another vehi cle is not available Legitimate police officers will usually be wearing a full uniform and will be driving a fully marked vehicle he said Police have cau tioned drivers especially women not to leave their vehicles unless the officers identify themselves Although Estey was reluctant to draw a
